Achraf Hakimi, a player for Morocco’s international player announced a new initiative through his foundation on Tuesday intended to promote the inclusion of young people with disabilities through sports.
Launched at the Bouafi Center in Casablanca, the program coincided with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
In partnership with Tibu Africa, the project integrates sport into education and personal development to promote the social and economic participation of young people with disabilities.
The initiative is structured around three main components, namely motor skill development, cognitive enhancement, and socio-emotional support.
Participants will engage in tailored sports activities, educational workshops, and social interactions to improve physical coordination, learning abilities, and confidence.
Hakimi reiterated the importance of creating opportunities for youth with disabilities to explore their potential and progress in life.
The initiative is supported by the Al Ihssane Association, under the honorary presidency of Princess Lalla Hasnaa.
