Adil Hala was unanimously elected president of Raja Casablanca during an ordinary general assembly held on Thursday in Casablanca.
Hala, previously the interim president, will serve a four-year term, focusing on strengthening the squad and lifting recruitment restrictions.
Raja began the Botola Pro season with a loss against Renaissance Berkane and has yet to face Ittihad Tanger on September 25 in Tetouan.
Despite the league defeat, Raja secured a spot in the second round of the African Football Confederation (CAF) Champions League by eliminating Niger’s ASGNN.
Meanwhile, the Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) removed Mohamed Boudrika from its board for repeated meeting absences.
The dismissal, under Article 27 of the FRMF’s statutes, aim to enforce governance standards and ensure active board participation.
Boudrika, Raja’s former president, is under investigation in Germany for allegations of embezzlement, forgery, and other offenses.
In March, Boudrika received a suspended one-year prison sentence for issuing bad checks resulting in a MAD 232,500 fine by a court in Casablanca.
Boudrika’s prolonged absence led to his dismissal as head of Casablanca’s Mers Sultan district after hindering essential services operations.
Despite controversies, Raja Casablanca won the 2023-2024 Botola Pro and Throne Cup without defeats, adding to their illustrious history.
Raja now holds 13 Botola titles, eight Throne Cups, three CAF Champions Leagues, two CAF Confederation Cups, and several other trophies.
