Unbeaten Raja Casablanca Clinches 13th Morocco’s Football League

Besting MC Oujda 3-0 at the Stadium of Honor in Oujda (Eastern Morocco), Raja Casablanca won Morocco’s football league “Botola Pro” with 0 defeats this season.

34 minutes into the game, Abdelilah Khafifi, Raja central-back player, opened the scoring, while his teammate Yousri Bouzok scored a double through penalties at minutes 45 and 64.

Despite Rabat’s AS FAR win against Fath US 2-0, Raja Casablanca was crowned champion with 72 points.

Botola Pro had been dominated by AS Far throughout the championship, but their defeat in the penultimate match against Tetouan (MAT) meant that Raja were ranked first, just one point ahead of the Rabat-based team after winning the derby VS Wydad 1-0.

The Eagles scored 52 goals during the 2023-2024 championship, with 16 games with a clean sheet.

Anas Zniti, Raja’s goalkeeper, received only 15 goals in his nets, making Raja the strongest defense this year.

This trophy will be added to the 12 other Botola titles in the Eagles’ trophy cabinet, the last of which was won in 2020 during the Covid 19 period.

Raja is one of the most successful clubs in Morocco, with 13 Botola titles, 8 Throne Cups, 3 CAF Champions Leagues, 2 CAF Confederation Cups, 1 CAF Cup, 1 Afro-Asian Cup, 2 Arab Club Championships and 2 North African Clubs Cups.
