On World Day Against Child Labor, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) on Tuesday reiterated its commitment to eliminating child labor and promoting the well-being of children globally.
The Organization is striving to create a safe and inclusive environment for children, teenagers, and young adults through various initiatives, ICESCO said in a press release.
The Rabat-based organization recalled that one of its key programs is the Child and Adolescent Protection, Rehabilitation, and Leadership Initiative, which includes programs such as the ICESCO Award for Child Protection, mental health capacity building, the Children for Peace Festival, educational programs to combat child labor, and using football to rehabilitate street children.
It also highlighted the importance of education and family support in addressing child labor, striving to protect children from exploitation, and providing a secure environment for them to learn, play, and develop.
ICESCO urged governments, national commissions for education, science, and culture, and other stakeholders to join efforts to end child labor and create environments where all children can fulfill their potential.
