National Police Services (DGSN) in Kenitra launched the operations of the Mobile Police Assistance Units on Wednesday, tweeted the DGSN on Thursday.
These new units, which are available round-the-clock, are equipped with motorcyclists and rescue vehicles and can respond quickly to emergencies.
The units can receive real-time essential information about emergency calls from citizens, allowing them to intervene in the field with great speed. The operations of these units are constantly monitored by specialists at both the central and regional levels, ensuring optimal management and efficiency of each intervention.
The DGSN employed a rigorous vetting process in selecting well-trained, highly skilled members for these new units, including a group of motorcyclists who have undergone training to intervene with highly maneuverable motorcycles in urban areas, as well as a group of uniformed police officers experienced in handling emergency calls from citizens.
This initiative ushers in a key component of the modernization policy implemented by the DGSN, which aims to establish modern police services with the capacity for rapid and effective responses to citizens’ requests for assistance.
