Head of polisario militia Ibrahim Ghali finally heard the voices of repression in Tindouf camps and gave up his stubbornness by agreeing to discuss with the tribe chiefs what is going on in the campsite, said Forsatin Forum.
Following the great “Intifada” supported by the biggest and most influential tribes in Tindouf, many urged their relatives to give up arms and stay away from the polisario’s circle and institutions.
Ibrahim Ghali summoned the tribe elders to quell the disturbances, despite the fact that he had lowered the income they had been receiving for decades, even before his ascension to polisario leadership.
The polisario’s chief had refused to release (S.S), who was abducted following his involvement in a gasoline smuggling scheme late April.
Ghali also refused to negotiate with the protesters, insisting on arresting and abusing both men and women until the confrontation became inevitable after the attack on a second military post and the confiscation of its weapons.
