Morocco’s High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA) took part, on Wednesday in Lisbon, in the 69th meeting of the Executive Council of the European Audiovisual Observatory.
The delegation was represented by Director General Benaïssa Asloun and his deputy Abdeljalil El Hammoumi.
The discussions focused on the Observatory’s action plan as well as its 2024-2028 Strategy in the medium-term.
The Executive Council’s meeting was organized jointly by the European Audiovisual Observatory and the Portuguese Film and Audiovisual Institute.
The conference touched on the European film industry, especially the increasing politicization of the sector, the pandemic, streaming platforms, and the future of the film market.
The HACA became a full member of the Observatory in 2013, which is the Council of Europe’s body in charge of conducting comparative studies, compiling databases on the state of legislation in member countries, and providing reliable legal and economic data on the European audiovisual industry.
HACA chaired the committee in 2020 and is a permanent member of its board.
