433 businesses were set up in January 2021 in Morocco, said the Industrial and Commercial Property Office (OMPIC).
These companies are divided between legal persons (156 units) and natural persons (277).
According to OMPIC, the trade sector dominates the companies with a percentage of 47.79%, followed by civil engineering (17.71%), services (15.68%), industries (7.38%), transportation (5.17%), hotels and restaurants (3.51%), IT and communication (1.11%), agriculture and fisheries (1.11%), and financial activities (0.55%).
63.5% of the newly-created businesses are private limited liability companies (SARL), mostly located in the Eastern region (230) and the north (203).
