Morocco is among the countries with very low impact of terrorism with a score of 0.757, according to the 2023 Global Terrorism Index (GTI).
A report issued by the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), which measures the impact of terrorism on countries, said that Morocco moved four spots and is now ranking fifth among Arab countries, followed by Bahrain with 0.826 points and the United Arab Emirates with 1.241.
Morocco ranked 20th among African countries, wrote the document.
The GTI score considers not only deaths but also incidents, hostages, and injuries from terrorism weighted over five years.
Afghanistan is the country most impacted by terrorism for the fourth consecutive year, with 8.822 points.
