Interpol President Maj. Gen. Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi said on Sunday at the 42nd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers in Tunis that he is confident Morocco can host an “exceptional” 2030 FIFA World Cup.
Al-Raisi congratulated Morocco and Saudi Arabia on being named hosts for the 2030 and 2034 tournaments, calling the selections a “historic achievement.”
He added both nations can stage a tournament “worthy of their long-standing history.”
He also reviewed major security operations led by Interpol that involved several Arab countries, including Morocco.
Founded in 1923, Interpol is an international police organization that supports law enforcement agencies in its 196 member countries by facilitating information sharing and coordination to fight transnational crime and security threats.
