Coastal and artisanal fishing landings at Tangier Port reached 166 tons in January 2025, a decrease in volume of 22% compared to the same period last year, according to Morocco’s National Fisheries Office (ONP).
Despite the drop in quantity, the landings value rose by 2%, exceeding MAD 7.67 million in January, up from MAD 7.56 million in January 2024. The increase highlights a rise in fish prices, compensating for the lower landing volume.
