Russian agricultural exports to Morocco nearly tripled in value to about $280 million in 2024, compared to the previous year, driven largely by increased wheat shipments, Russia’s News Agency (TASS) reported, citing the Agroexport federal center.
“Experts estimate that Russia exported agricultural products worth around $280 million to Morocco in 2024, nearly three times more than in 2023,” the report said.
The report added that wheat exports were the main growth driver, increasing 3.4 times in value. Experts estimate Russia shipped more than 1 million tons of wheat to Morocco last year.
Additionally, Russia supplied oilseed meal—a protein-rich byproduct of oil extraction used in animal feed—to Morocco in 2024 for the first time since 2015. The kingdom also resumed purchases of sunflower oil from Russia after nearly five years.
Agroexport estimates Russia’s agricultural export potential to Morocco at about $350 million.
