The Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has launched a new phase of renovations at the Antoinette Tubman football stadium in Monrovia that will install a subsurface drainage system pursuant to a technical cooperation agreement signed with the Liberia Football Association (LFA) in 2020, the LFA announced via a Facebook Post on Monday.
The renovation includes modern turf installation and the construction of a water station to supply both the pitch and stadium facilities. The LFA confirmed the progress highlighting Morocco’s continued support.
Located in Liberia’s capital, the stadium plays a crucial role in hosting local and international matches. Improving the drainage system will enhance playing conditions and water management.
Morocco has been actively involved in developing football infrastructure across Africa. The FRMF has funded similar projects in other countries, reinforcing its commitment to the sport’s growth on the continent.
The LFA aims to modernize its facilities to meet international standards, ensuring that the Antoinette Tubman Stadium remains a key venue for future competitions.
