Morocco’s aerospace exports reached nearly MAD 26.45 billion in 2024, representing an increase of 14.9% compared to the previous year, according to the Office des Changes, Morocco’s foreign exchange regulator.
The climb is attributed to a rise in sales from the assembly segment, which grew by 23.6% to MAD 17.23 billion MAD, and from the Electrical Wiring Interconnection System (EWIS), which surged by 1.5% to MAD 9.1 billion MAD, the Office stated in its latest bulletin on monthly foreign trade indicators.
The office also reported a 13.1% increase in exports of phosphates and derivatives, reaching MAD 86.76 billion, including MAD 63.82 billion from natural and chemical fertilizers, MAD 14.41 billion from phosphoric acid, and MAD 8.52 billion from phosphates.
Meanwhile, Morocco’s automotive exports increased by 6.3%, reaching MAD 157.6 billion, attributed to increased sales in the Vehicle Interiors and Seats segment (+18.1%), wiring (+6.5%), and construction (+4.9%).
The country’s Agriculture and Agro-food exports grew by 3.1% to MAD 85.81 billion, and electronics and electricity exports rose by 0.1% to MAD 18.34 billion. However, textiles and leather exports declined by 0.5% to MAD 45.88 billion.
