Saudi Pro League club Al-Taawoun has signed Moroccan international Abdelhamid Sabiri on loan from Fiorentina until the end of the current season, the club announced on Thursday.
After previously playing for Al-Fayha during the 2023/2024 season, Sabiri, 28 is headed toward his second stint with a Saudi club. Fiorentina initially acquired him from Sampdoria in January 2023, but he never featured for the Italian club. Instead, Fiorentina sent him on loan to Al-Fayha, then to Ajman in the UAE, and now he’s going to Al-Taawoun.
Born in Kelaat M’Gouna, Morocco, on November 28, 1996, Sabiri moved to Germany with his family at a young age. He gained international recognition during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where he represented Morocco.
