Royal Air Maroc (RAM) announced on Wednesday that it is launching a new direct flight route from Casablanca’s Mohamed V Airport (CMN) to Moscow’s Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) in Russia’s capital. Previously, RAM operated flights to Moscow exclusively via Domodedovo Airport in the Russian capital.
The new daily flights will operate on Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering passengers complimentary onboard meals during the six-hour flight. Flights are scheduled to depart from Casablanca at 10:55 AM and land in Moscow at 7:10 AM (GMT+1) the next day.
The new direct route replaces the Casablanca-Moscow (Domodedovo) flights, which resumed in May 2023 after a nearly year-long suspension due to security concerns.
In response to the then-growing demand, RAM increased the frequency of flights on that route to five a week in April 2024.
RAM is continuing to expand its international network. In December 2024, the airline launched three new intercontinental routes connecting Casablanca with Toronto (Canada), São Paulo (Brazil), and Beijing (China).
