Morocco’s imports of Tunisian dates saw a steady year-on-year increase, accounting for 19.7% of Tunisia’s total date exports in 2024, according to local media.
The latest data from Tunisia’s National Agricultural Observatory (ONAGRI) confirms Morocco as the leading destination for Tunisian dates, surpassing Italy (7.5% of exports) and Türkiye (6.8%).
In 2024, Tunisia exported 51,300 tons of dates in total, with Morocco importing approximately 10,106 tons. The total value of Moroccan Tunisian date imports is USD 107 billion, an 11.4% increase compared to 2023.
