Morocco’s Royal Air Force (FRA) has reportedly received the first delivery of American AH-64E Apache attack helicopters under a contract for 24 units, according to images reviewed by Barlamane.com.
The delivery is a significant step toward strengthening the operational capabilities of Morocco’s armed forces.
Considered one of the most advanced attack helicopters in the world, the AH-64E features cutting-edge technology, including high-resolution night vision sensors and next-generation detection systems.
Designed for reconnaissance missions, close air support, and tactical superiority, the aircraft will provide enhanced offensive and defensive capabilities for Moroccan air units.
According to sources close to the matter, Moroccan crews have undergone extensive training in the United States to fully master the helicopter’s capabilities and ensure a smooth integration into the Royal Air Force.
Morocco allocated USD 13 billion for military deals in its 2025 defense budget. Acquiring the Boeing AH-64Es furthers Morocco’s strategy of diversifying its aerial fleet and strengthening its defense infrastructure to maintain regional defense superiority amid evolving regional geopolitical dynamics.
The delivery of the remaining units is expected to take place over several months according to a schedule agreed upon by Rabat and Washington.
