The President of Morocco’s Lowed House of Parliament, Mohamed Ould Errachid, met with the President of the United Arab Emirates’ Federal National Council, Saqr Ghobash, on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, to discuss ways to strengthen parliamentary cooperation between their two legislative bodies.
During the meeting, Ould Errachid highlighted the deep fraternal ties between the UAE and the Kingdom of Morocco, emphasizing the ongoing development of parliamentary collaboration between Rabat and Abu Dhabi, which serves the mutual interests of both nations and their people.
Ghobash said parliamentary cooperation is important in enhancing bilateral relations. Parliamentary diplomacy plays an active role in supporting common causes and complementing official state diplomacy, he said.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening parliamentary cooperation and enhancing coordination and consultation within various regional and international parliamentary bodies. They also discussed continued joint efforts within parliamentary forums in Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Ould Errachid is currently leading a Moroccan parliamentary delegation on an official visit in the UAE.
