Police in Meknes and Benslimane arrested three individuals on Friday on suspicion of drug possession and trafficking. The operation targeted narcotics and psychotropic substances.
Authorities apprehended the first suspect in the “Al-Ayoun” forested area near Benslimane, working in collaboration with the Royal Gendarmerie. During the arrest and subsequent search, officers seized 1,064 ecstasy pills, two kilograms of hashish, two knives, and cash believed to be proceeds from illegal activities.
In a separate operation conducted with Morocco’s Territorial Surveillance Agency (DGST), police arrested two additional suspects upon arriving in Meknes on a bus from a northern city. A search revealed 900 Rivotril tablets in their possession.
The suspects are currently under investigation.
