Moroccan international Salim El Jebari has joined FC Cartagena on loan from Atlético Madrid for the remainder of the season, the Spanish club announced Friday.
The 20-year-old forward made his first-team debut for Atlético last season.
FC Cartagena highlighted El Jebari’s versatility in attack, noting he can play as a winger or center forward. The club described him as “a quick player with a sharp sense for goals” and expects him to be an important asset in the second half of the season.
El Jebari impressed with Atlético’s B team last season, scoring four goals in 32 appearances.
Cartagena head coach Guillermo Fernández Romo sees him as a key reinforcement to bolster the squad’s offensive options as they push for better results in LaLiga 2.
