Allianz Trade, a credit insurance giant, has announced Stéphane Rutili as its new CEO for Morocco, effective as of January 2025, according to converging media reports.
Rutili replaces Hicham Bensaid Alaoui, who concluded his role at the end of December 2024.
The new CEO, Rutili, brings a wealth of experience from his tenure with Allianz Trade, which began in 1989. Over the years, he has held multiple leadership roles across various countries, including a prior stint as CEO of Allianz Trade in Morocco from 2001 to 2007.
He served as CEO of Allianz Trade in Greece from 2007 to 2013 and led recovery agency operations in France starting in 2013.
Most recently, Rutili worked as the Country Director of Allianz Trade in South Africa, a position he has held since 2017.
Luca Burrafato, Head of the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Africa (MMEA) region for Allianz Trade, highlighted Rutili’s suitability for the role. “His proven track record and deep understanding of both the Moroccan market and the broader region make him the perfect leader for this next chapter,” Burrafato said.
Burrafato also pointed out Rutili’s strategic vision, operational expertise, and collaborative leadership style. “These qualities will undoubtedly drive Allianz Trade in Morocco toward achieving ambitious new goals. We are thrilled to welcome him back to this position and look forward to his contributions,” he added.
