American space exploration company SpaceX successfully launched 23 Starlink internet satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California on Friday, marking the 11th Falcon 9 mission of 2025 in 2025, Space.com reported.
A Falcon 9 rocket lifted off at 6:07 a.m. local time and deployed its payload into low Earth orbit approximately 64 minutes later. The upper stage delivered the satellites to their designated orbit, further expanding the Starlink constellation.
The rocket’s first-stage booster executed a flawless landing about eight minutes after liftoff, touching down on the Pacific-based drone ship, marking the 401st successful recovery of an orbital-class booster by SpaceX.
The booster, making its 23rd flight, has supported 14 Starlink missions among its previous launches, SpaceX confirmed.
Starlink, the largest satellite constellation in history, continues to grow at a remarkable pace. With over 6,900 operational satellites, the network remains key to SpaceX’s efforts to provide global internet coverage.
