The Director-General of the Portuguese Business Confederation, Rafael Alves Rocha, highlighted on Thursday the opportunity that the 2030 FIFA World Cup offers to enhance strategic partnerships between Moroccan and Portuguese businesses.
Speaking at the opening of the Moroccan-Portuguese Economic Forum, held in Rabat under the theme “Portugal-Morocco: Building the Future Through Partnership,” Rocha said that this major global event will serve as a platform to bolster bilateral relations across various sectors, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The director general also pointed out the global challenges surrounding free trade that underline the importance of such cooperation.
Rocha noted that the World Cup also presents an opportunity for both countries to showcase their organizational and logistical capabilities.
He underscored that the success of joint-hosting the tournament depends on effective coordination between Morocco and Portugal across all aspects of the event, the same source said.
