The French retail store Carrefour dropped its lawsuit against Moroccan activist Mohamed Kachkach on Monday, which accused the activist of defamation and slander, local media reported.
Kachkach is a pro-Palestine activist who urged citizens of Youssoufia to boycott Carrefour’s stores over its alleged support of Israel.
Carrefour’s legal team filed the case against him in December at the Youssoufia Court of First Instance. The store’s local branch has announced the decision to withdraw the case during a hearing on Monday.
