Morocco’s Minister of Youth and Culture Mohamed Mehdi Bensaïd announced the nationwide implementation of the “Pass Jeunes” (Youth Pass) program on Monday, at an official ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony attended by ministers, regional leaders, and public enterprise executives, Bensaïd highlighted that the project, developed over three years, aims to strengthen trust between young people and national institutions.
He highlighted the program’s role in promoting the “Moroccan dream” and enabling youth to showcase their potential on a global stage.
Now available nationwide, the Pass Jeunes card provides holders with a range of services, including access to sports, cultural, and healthcare facilities, as well as financial benefits from partner banks.
Cardholders also enjoy discounts on transportation and free or reduced admission to historical monuments, sites, and museums.
Moroccan youth aged 16 to 30 can register for the program by downloading the dedicated application, granting them immediate access to these services and privileges.
Following the pilot phase’s success in the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, where over 250,000 youths enrolled, the goal is to reach 2.6 million beneficiaries by 2026, targeting a population of 8.5 million young Moroccans.
Bensaïd underlined the program’s economic benefits, particularly through enhanced access to banking services, which will improve young people’s quality of life and open them up to new opportunities.
