Morocco’s General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM) has issued an amber weather alert, warning of strong local wind gusts and possible dust storms on Monday and Tuesday in a number of provinces across the Kingdom.
From 8:00 p.m. (GMT+1) on Monday until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, DGM is forecasting wind gusts of 75-90 km/h, accompanied by potential dust storms, in the provinces of Sidi Ifni and Tiznit.
Those conditions are expected to later affect the provinces of El Jadida, Sidi Bennour, Safi, Essaouira, and Chichaoua on Tuesday, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
All road and highway users are urged to exercise caution and stay alert.
