The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has thanked the Moroccan authorities for their cooperation in arresting the “Sulaiman Al-Amriki” (Sulaiman the American), who was planning to join the ISIS terrorist organization
US Attorney Michael F. Easley, Jr. commended Morocco’s involvement in the arrest of the suspect, highlighting the importance of international security cooperation.
Alexander Justin White, 29, was arrested on December 4, 2024, as he was preparing to board an international flight from Raleigh–Durham International Airport (RDU) to Morocco to join ISIS. If convicted, he would face up to 20 years in prison, according to the US Attorney’s Office.
“We couldn’t do our work without strong local partners willing to share their resources to protect our homeland,” he said.
