Morocco’s Ministry of Equipment’s services in Ifrane Province are working to restore traffic and clear roads disrupted by significant snowfall.
Recorded by the Directorate General of Meteorology, the heavy snowfall began on Friday and continued into Saturday morning, causing widespread road closures. Key routes affected include those connecting Azrou to Timahdite, Azrou to Ifrane, Habri to Michlifen, and Michlifen to Ifrane.
Teams from the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Equipment, Transport, Logistics, and Water, supported by local authorities and security services, have mobilized extensive resources to clear the snow and ensure traveler safety.
The Provincial Directorate noted that all available personnel and equipment have been deployed to expedite snow removal and reopen blocked roads as quickly as possible.
Drivers are urged to take necessary precautions, such as checking the condition of their vehicle tires and following the guidance of local authorities and snow-clearing teams to ensure safe travel during this period.
