The Morocco Fintech Center (MFC) held its inaugural meeting on Wednesday in Rabat, with Abdellatif Jouahri, Governor of Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM), presiding over its first board meeting, local media reported.
The MFC focuses on providing a unified platform for fintech companies, offering support through incubation, acceleration, and capacity-building programs while facilitating access to financing and navigating regulatory frameworks.
Founding members include key institutions such as the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Bank Al-Maghrib, the Moroccan Capital Market Authority, and leading banks like Attijariwafa Bank and Bank of Africa.
The association seeks to build a collaborative ecosystem that fosters partnerships, innovation, and global integration, positioning Morocco as a fintech hub. Additional organizations can join in the future to further expand its reach.
