Morocco’s Supreme Council of Judicial Authority and Belgium’s High Council of Justice signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Wednesday in Rabat to strengthen judicial cooperation, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The two nations reportedly established the MoU to build on shared principles and values, reinforcing the rule of law and bilateral collaboration.
The agreement focuses on judicial independence, governance, efficiency, court administration, digitization, inspections, and the oversight and training of judges.
Representatives from both nations exchanged resources such as information, documents, and tools to develop expertise in areas of mutual interest.
The MoU underscores practical steps to strengthen ties. These include deploying specialized personnel, forming working groups, participating in conferences, and co-organizing events, MAP noted.
