With Moroccan football star Hakim Ziyech about to leave Turkish team Galatasaray, reports indicate the player is now on the radar of Saudi Pro League club Al-Fateh.
Despite playing a key role in the team’s Turkish Super League title triumph last season, Ziyech has found himself sidelined in recent months, appearing for only a few minutes at a time in only a few matches.
In an interview with Turkish journalist Haluk Yurekli, Ziyech didn’t hide his frustration. “For me, it’s over with Galatasaray. I don’t want to play here anymore,” he declared. The 31-year-old midfielder expressed regret over his move to Turkey, adding, “I will leave in January. I am sorry I came here.”
Moroccan sports-focused outlet Kooora reported on Wednesday that Ziyech is in informal talks with Al-Fateh. The club plans to secure the Moroccan right wing during the current winter transfer window.
According to the source, Al-Fateh hopes to acquire Ziyech on a free transfer but remains cautious about finalizing the deal quickly.
