The Moroccan Association of Andalusian Music (AMMA) has announced that the 3rd Moroccan Festival of Andalusian Music will take place from January 16 -18 at the former Sacré-Cœur Church in Casablanca, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
Under the theme “The Timeless Echoes of Moroccan Music: Morocco at the Crossroads of Cultures,” this year’s festival promises to be a vibrant celebration of Morocco’s rich Andalusian musical heritage.
Sponsored by Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication in collaboration with Casablanca Events and Animation and the Wecasablanca territorial brand, the festival is also supported by Morocco’s National Lottery.
According to AMMA, the festival will immerse attendees in the captivating world of a musical tradition with deep roots and diverse cultural influences. It transcends borders, highlighting the unifying power of music and culture, and provides a valuable platform to celebrate and promote an art form that reflects Morocco’s cultural essence.
“Building on the tremendous success of the first two AMMA, which drew over 9,000 enthusiasts, the festival has firmly established itself as a cornerstone of the cultural scene,” AMMA’s organizers stated.
The third AMMA will showcase a diverse lineup of talented artists and renowned orchestras from across Morocco and other countries, ensuring a dynamic and emotional cultural celebration.
The National Lottery Management Company (SGLN) noted that all National Lottery revenues go to social and solidarity initiatives, contributing to the development of Morocco’s social and economic landscape, including the promotion of cultural activities.
With its commitment to uniting audiences through the timeless art of Andalusian music, the festival continues to stand as a beacon of cultural pride and innovation.
