The Moroccan Golf Federation (FRMG) will hold its second Arab Professional Golf Championship from January 9 to 12 at the Mazagan Golf Course and Resort in El Jadida, according to a statement released Monday.
Held in collaboration with the Arab Golf Federation (AGF), the championship will feature 16 professional players from several Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Tunisia, and Egypt.
Professional players Ahmed Marjane, Ayoub Lguirati, Othmane Raouzi, and Soufiane Dahmane will represent Morocco.
In addition to the professional competitions, an amateur tournament will be held on January 11 and 12 on the same course.
Established in 2023 at the initiative of Morocco’s Prince Moulay Rachid, the championship has quickly become a pivotal event for the development and recognition of Arab golf talent.
The first tournament last year brought together over 100 participants from 11 Arab countries, “underscoring the sporting event’s significance” for the professional golfing community in the region, the FRMG stated.
Morocco’s top-ranked golfer Ayoub Lguirati made history then by becoming the first Arab Professional Golf Champion.
