Zhejiang Yatai Electromechanical, one of China’s pioneers in automotive equipment, announced in a statement that it has established Moroccan subsidiary, APG Brake Morocco, as part of its international expansion strategy.
The company stated that the creation of the subsidiary “is in line with resolutions adopted during the 18th meeting of its eighth board of directors.” During that meeting, the Board of Directors approved the creation of a wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore to oversee an investment in a Moroccan company based in Tangier to develop the company’s “Morocco Base.”
Created on December 26, 2024, APG Brake Morocco is registered under number 157673 and has capital of two million USD. It is headquartered in Tangier’s Mohammed VI Tangier Tech City. The company’s principal activities include the import-export, procurement, sales and distribution of automotive spare parts, as well as trade and commercial brokerage.
The project “demonstrates Zhejiang Yatai’s commitment to strengthening its presence in North Africa and leveraging Morocco’s geographical position as a key logistics hub connecting Europe, Africa, and the Middle East,” according to the company statement.
