Rachid Talbi Alami, Morocco’s Speaker of the Lower House, represented King Mohammed VI on Tuesday in Accra at the inauguration ceremony of Ghana’s newly elected President, John Dramani Mahama, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The Moroccan delegation included Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, as well as Imane Ouadil, Morocco’s Ambassador to Ghana.
The inauguration ceremony took place in Ghana’s capital and was attended by numerous politicians and military leaders. The event underscored the significance of Ghana’s democratic transition and its role within the African continent.
Morocco’s participation highlights its commitment to fostering strong diplomatic ties and collaboration with Ghana after it suspended relations with the Polisario Front.
