Morocco’s Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication unveiled a new “Video Game Creator” training program on Monday at the International University of Rabat (UIR) that is intended to strengthen the country’s video game industry.
Launched under an intergovernmental agreement between Morocco and France, the initiative builds on the two countries’ commitment to support cultural and creative industries.
The French Embassy in Morocco is a key partner in the initiative. The training focuses on providing young Moroccans with the technical and managerial skills needed to thrive in the growing video game sector.
Women make up 35% of the participants, reflecting the program’s dedication to inclusivity.
Three major institutions are collaborating to guarantee the program’s success. Faculty from France’s ISART Digital, the world’s second-ranked video game school, will be delivering expert instruction. The International University of Rabat will be hosting the training sessions on its campus, and the Foundation of the Higher Institute of Audiovisual and Cinema (ISMAC) will be providing logistical support.
