The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has named five Moroccan referees to officiate the upcoming African Nations Championship (CHAN) matches.
Bouchra Karboubi and Mustapha Kachaf will serve as match referees, while Hamza Nassiri and Fatiha Jermoumi will be assistant referees. Hamza El Fareq has been assigned to the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) role.
Karboubi previously made history as the fourth official during the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final between Cote d’Ivoire and Nigeria.
All five referees bring extensive experience, having officiated at the last two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations—2021 in Cameroon and 2023 in the Ivory Coast, as well as at various other international competitions.
The tournament will take place from February 1-28, 2025, in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
