The “Direct Aid to Housing” program has supported 33,565 families in acquiring homes as of December 27, according to Morocco’s Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah.
During a session at the lower house of the parliament, Fettah detailed that women account for 42% of beneficiaries, while Moroccans living abroad represent 22%.
The program has received 125,280 applications through its dedicated platform, with 111,569 requests receiving initial approval.
Fettah highlighted that the program seeks to make housing more accessible for Moroccan families. The initiative provides financial aid of MAD 100,000 (USD 10,000) for homes priced at or below MAD 300,000 (USD 30,000) and MAD 70,000 (USD 7,000) for houses costing up to MAD 700,000 (USD 70,000).
