Ghana’s government announced that starting January 1, 2025, Moroccan nationals will no longer need a visa to enter the country, easing their access to Ghana, according to authorities in Accra, the capital city.
This move is expected to promote free trade and facilitate the movement of people and goods within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), an initiative of the African Union inteded to enhance economic cooperation among member states.
The decision is also viewed as a step toward strengthening bilateral ties between Morocco and Ghana.
It will allow Moroccan businesses to more easily explore economic opportunities in Ghana, particularly in sectors like agriculture, infrastructure, and technology.
