Following high-level discussions held in Manama on Wednesday, Morocco’s Secretary of State to the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family Abdeljebbar Rachidi, and Bahrain’s Minister of Social Development Oussama bin Saleh Alawi expressed an interest in increasing collaboration by the two countries in the area of social development.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 44th Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, focused on enhancing bilateral efforts in socio-economic inclusion, particularly for people with disabilities.
Rachidi and Alawi both underscored the importance of exchanging visits and sharing expertise as a means of driving cooperation forward in this critical area.
Rachidi reaffirmed Morocco’s readiness to support Bahrain during its term leading the Arab Council of Ministers of Social Affairs, underscoring the shared vision between the two nations to advance inclusive social policies.
The 44th Council brought together Arab ministers and social affairs officials and representatives from specialized Arab and international organizations. Morocco’s delegation included Mustapha Benkhayi, the Kingdom’s ambassador in Manama, and Mohamed Ait Azizi, Director of Family, Childhood, and Elderly Protection at the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration, and Family.
