Saudi Arabian football powerhouse Al-Nasr is making bold strides to recruit Moroccan striker Youssef En-Nesyri during the winter transfer window. With ambitions to bolster its offense lineup, the club has reportedly made an oral offer of EUR 30 million to En-Nesyri’s current club, Fenerbahçe, according to Footboom1.
Fenerbahçe is holding firm, however, seeking a fee closer to EUR 40 million for the dynamic forward.
Known for his blistering speed and clinical finishing, En-Nesyri has emerged as a prime target for Al-Nasr, particularly following the recent departure of Brazilian striker Anderson Talisca.
Talisca’s transfer to Fenerbahçe, completed for EUR 5 million and supplemented by Al-Nasr covering part of his salary, signaled the club’s readiness to revamp its squad. “They’re determined to replace Talisca with a world-class striker,” commented Karim, an ardent Al-Nasr fan, during a discussion with his friend Sarah. “En-Nesyri is the ideal fit for [the club’s] ambitions.”
Rejecting the notion of a loan deal, Al-Nasr remains focused on securing a permanent move for the Moroccan international player. It its envisions En-Nesyri as a key component in its pursuit of domestic titles and continental glory.
His potential transfer highlights the growing influence of Saudi clubs in the global football market, as they leverage substantial financial resources to attract top-tier talent.
“It’s a testament to how serious Saudi clubs are about making an impact on world football,” Karim added. “This saga reflects the massive investments driving their strategies, and it’s definitely one to watch closely.”
