The three co-host nations, Morocco, Spain, and Portugal, are preparing to inaugurate the Sports World Congress in Barcelona scheduled to take place February 3 to 5 to analyze the impact of the 2030 FIFA World Cup on their host cities, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The congress will bring together representatives from the three host nations to examine the benefits the World Cup will bring and explore ways to capitalize on the myriad opportunities it presents.
On opening day, participants will engage in the Stadium Forum, where they will discuss the challenges stadiums will face in hosting the prestigious global event.
The second day will focus on the social, economic, and environmental impact on participating countries and cities of hosting major sporting events such as the 2030 World Cup.
The congress will conclude on February 5 with the “Beyond 2030” forum, during which attendees will visit the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) audiovisual trade fair. The Forum will explore synergies between the audiovisual sector and the sports industry to enhance the impact of the event and adjacent activities, according to the event’s organizers.
