Morocco’s Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi, met on Monday with Iraq’s National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, in Rabat to discuss judicial cooperation and regional security issues during a high-level visit.
The meeting focused on shared challenges and explored new areas of collaboration, including digitization, legislative development, and judicial training, building on a memorandum of understanding signed in May 2023, Morocco’s News Agency (MAP) reported.
Ouahbi highlighted Morocco’s ongoing reforms under King Mohammed VI’s leadership and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to Iraq’s sovereignty, unity, and stability.
Al-Araji praised the strong ties between the two nations and expressed Iraq’s dedication to strengthening bilateral cooperation. He underscored Iraq’s commitment to peace and stability in the region, aiming to deepen their partnership for mutual prosperity.
Both officials emphasized the importance of collaborating to advance shared goals, laying the groundwork for enhanced regional and international collaboration.
