Morocco participated in an international conference on environmental protection in Mexico to address major environmental challenges, strengthen sustainable development efforts, and protect vulnerable ecosystems from climate change, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
Mohammed Fares, Secretary-General of the Moroccan Green Party and President of the African Green Parties, represented Morocco at the conference.
Fares discussed Morocco’s key initiatives for environmental protection and combating climate change with representatives from various parties.
He also highlighted Morocco’s strong commitment to global sustainable development efforts and tackling shared environmental challenges.
The Moroccan official updated attendees on Morocco’s territorial integrity, underlining the autonomy initiative as a practical solution to the Sahara conflict, and highlighted the country’s political, economic, and human rights progress.
The event brought together Green Party representatives from across the globe and Global Greens executive committee members, featuring workshops on international environmental cooperation.
