Snowfall above 1,800 meters and strong wind gusts accompanied by dust storms are expected in several provinces of the Kingdom, Morocco’s Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announced on Saturday.
In an amber weather alert, the DGM also projected snowfall ranging from 10 to 40 cm from Saturday at 10 a.m. to Sunday at noon in the provinces of Azilal, Al Haouz, Tinghir, Midelt, Ouarzazate, and Taroudant.
The directorate also anticipated wind gusts of 70-85 km/h with dust storms on Sunday from midnight to 6 p.m. in the provinces of Sidi Ifni, Chtouka Ait Baha, Agadir Ida-Outanane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Guelmim, Tiznit, Al Haouz, Taroudant, and Tan-Tan.
