King Mohammed VI received Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani at the Royal Palace in Casablanca to strengthen cooperation, trust, and fraternity uniting Morocco and Mauritania, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
The two leaders expressed their satisfaction with the growing partnership between their countries and reaffirmed their commitment to advancing strategic projects.
Key discussions included initiatives such as the African-Atlantic gas pipeline and efforts to enhance access for Sahel states to the Atlantic Ocean under Royal initiatives.
Upon arrival, President El Ghazouani was greeted by the Royal Guard and participated in the traditional Moroccan welcome ceremony with offerings of milk and dates.
