The Moroccan national football team maintained its position as the 14th-ranked team in the latest FIFA rankings, released Thursday. This marks FIFA’s final update of the year.
Morocco concluded 2024 with 1,688.18 points in the global ranking. Although the team dropped one spot compared to its 13th-place finish in 2023, when it held 1,661.69 points, Morocco still stands as Africa’s top-ranked team for the third consecutive year.
On the continental level, Senegal follows Morocco, ranking 18th globally, with Egypt in 33rd place, Algeria at 37th place, and Nigeria in 44th position.
On the global stage, Argentina, the reigning World Cup champion, remains at the top. France holds the second spot, followed by Spain, England, Brazil, Portugal, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, and Uruguay.
