Morocco will host the 2025 World Snooker Championship, marking the first time the event will be held on the African continent.
Scheduled from January 18 to February 1, the championship will take place in Saidia, located in northeastern Morocco.
Organized by the World Snooker Federation (WSF) and Morocco Snooker, the event will feature two open tournaments offering players an opportunity to qualify for the World Snooker Tour. The championship is also intended to highlight the cultural and tourism assets of Morocco’s eastern region.
The program includes multiple competitions, such as the Under-21 World Championship, the Women’s World Ranking Championship, and the main World Championship. Players from Europe, Asia, Australia, the United States, Brazil, and Africa are expected to participate, reflecting the sport’s global reach.
All matches will be played on Xing Pai Championship tables to ensure high-quality standards.
The tournament will bring together top-tier players and emerging talent, promising exciting performances and intense competition as participants compete for titles and professional advancement.
