Moroccan international player and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star, Achraf Hakimi, has earned the 56th spot on The Guardian’s prestigious list of the top 100 football players for 2024.
The ranking highlights Hakimi’s exceptional performances with his French club, outperforming global stars such as Luka Modrić, Mohamed Marmoush, and Son Heung-min.
The newspaper hailed Hakimi’s pivotal role at PSG, where he has emerged as a team leader. “The Morocco captain continues to be his club’s main source of impetus down the right.”
Under manager Luis Enrique, Hakimi has become an essential component of PSG’s tactical approach.
On the continental stage, Hakimi continues to shine in African football. While Nigerian star Ademola Lookman was named African Player of the Year, Hakimi earned a spot on the 2024 African Best XI.
